Privacy Policy

We collect the minimum needed to operate the service:

• Your email address, used to send notifications about your request.
• The location you pick or allow us to detect (city name, latitude, longitude), used to evaluate local weather conditions.
• Order details: weather type, target date, amount paid, and submission timestamp.
• For gift orders: the recipient name, your sender display name, and the optional gift message you write.

Each completed request has a public link at /r/{id}. Gift orders also have a public certificate page at /gift/{id}, intended for the recipient. Anyone who has the link can open it, including link-preview crawlers when the link is shared.

Public pages display the weather type, location, target date, and request code. The gift certificate also displays the recipient name, sender display name, and gift message you submitted.

Public pages never display the price, your payment method, or your email address. Search engines are asked not to index gift certificates.

When you submit a gift, you provide the recipient’s name and (optionally) a message we will display on the certificate page. You are responsible for the content you submit and for confirming the recipient is comfortable receiving it. We do not separately notify the recipient — you share the gift link with them yourself.

Payments are processed by Paddle. We do not see or store your card number, expiry, or CVC. Paddle’s handling of payment data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Lemon Squeezy and Stripe are supported as backup processors. If either is active in the future, payments would be handled under the same terms.

We use OpenWeatherMap to look up conditions at your chosen location. Only coordinates are sent to them. No personally identifying information is shared.

We use only the browser storage needed to operate the site (for example, to remember your last-chosen location).

We use Vercel Analytics to measure aggregate page views and visitor counts, and Vercel Speed Insights to measure page-load performance. Both are cookieless, do not track individuals across sites, and do not collect personally identifying information. We do not run third-party advertising trackers.

We use LogRocket to record anonymized browser sessions for debugging and product improvement. Recordings can include the pages you visit, clicks, scroll position, and the contents of form inputs you submit on this site. They do not include payment-card data, which is entered directly on the payment provider’s domain. LogRocket processes this data on our behalf under their own privacy policy.

You can request a copy or deletion of your data — including data submitted as part of a gift — by emailing support@weather-order.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
